Buying guides and references for Bangladeshi businesses
What software costs here and how to read a quote, alongside the Mushak, VDS and BIN references a Bangladeshi business actually needs. Sourced, dated, free and not gated.
Reviewed
The short answer
Two kinds of thing live here. Buying guides, which carry a stated method and a source with a date for every external figure. And compliance references, which explain the Bangladeshi VAT paperwork form by form with the statute cited and the review date printed.
None of it is gated and none of it is tax advice. Rates here are re-issued by SRO, often mid-year, so check the date on the page before you rely on a figure.
Buying guides
| Guide | What it covers |
|---|---|
| What ERP software really costs in Bangladesh | Published vendor prices, vendors who publish none, third-party figures kept apart from both, and the five costs that never reach a quote. |
Guides here carry a stated method, a source for every external figure with the date it was read, and a review date at the top. Where a number could not be verified, the page says so instead of estimating, which is the difference between a guide and a listicle.
Compliance references and tools
The larger body of reference material on this site is the Bangladeshi VAT cluster, which covers 7 Mushak forms and the deductions and registrations around them. It is free, it is not gated, and it exists because the pages currently answering those questions are scanned spreadsheets.
| Reference | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Mushak forms and VAT compliance | The complete form index, the rates in force, thresholds, and the monthly filing calendar. |
| VDS and TDS in Bangladesh | Two deductions under two Acts, with rates, worked examples and the liability shift. |
| BIN registration | Thresholds, documents, the portal flow, and how to check a supplier's BIN before you accept their invoice. |
| Comparing the field | Sourced comparisons of the ERP and VAT software sold here, with a stated method. |
| Free tools | A Mushak 6.3 generator and a deduction calculator. No sign-up, nothing leaves your browser. |
Questions people ask
- Is this content free?
- Yes, all of it, with no sign-up and no email wall. The compliance guides and the free tools are the most useful thing on this site and gating them would defeat the point of writing them.
- Is this tax advice?
- No. It is a careful explanation of published rules with the sources cited and a review date attached, written by a software company rather than by a licensed VAT consultancy. Rates and schedules change by SRO, often mid-year. Confirm the current position with the revenue authority or your own consultant before you act on anything here.
- How are these kept up to date?
- Each page carries the date its content was last reviewed, and the compliance pages additionally carry the date the rates and citations behind them were checked. Comparison and pricing pages are refreshed quarterly or sooner when a vendor changes something.
